"Three decades of personal stories, of social change, shifting cultural landscapes and musical minium wage slavery, seen through the eyes of a random collection of people, whose only constant is that at some point, for some reason, they were members of The Fall. A Canterbury Tales for the mp3 generation" - Stewart Lee

The Lovers played a fantastic session on Xfm manchester on Monday - they also managed to record a couple of extra (or should that be Xtra?) tracks which we'll try to bring you soon, along with some photos of the evening. The occasion marked the 10th anniversary of Steve's departure from The Fall - our good friend Gabi put this photo-montage together by way of a celebration:

Tour Highlights of 'Highlights' Tour

The new album by Tom Hingley and the Lovers - 'Highlights'  - is finally complete and will be released March 2008. Release details will follow soon, but the album contains songs that touch on such universal themes as Love ('Highlights'); Religion ('All of My Time'); Lions ('Venomous');Credit Crunch ('Kick Out The Clocks') and the pretentious Manchester disteict of Chorlton-Cum-Hardy, where Tom can't afford to buy a house (but he's not at all bitter about it) ('Evergreen')

The band will be playing a number of dates to coincide with it's release. The first four have been announced and you can see details in our 'gigs' section.
